Event Volunteer

The Event Volunteer is an unpaid, volunteer position and will report to our Event Lead. The Event Volunteer will represent our nonprofit by assisting with fundraising events and auctions.

This role directly contributes to Komak’s mission to provide short-term assistance to fill a financial gap in living expenses for cancer patients unable to work during their treatment.

Approximate Time Required: 4-6 hours on the day of Komak fundraising events 2-4 hours weekly/1-3 times per year to support Komak events.

General Responsibilities:

•Assisting with event setup and breakdown 

•Greeting and directing attendees 

•Checking in guests and managing event registrations 

•Managing guest payment and checkouts 

•Providing information about the event and answering questions 

•Managing queues and directing traffic flow

•Maintaining a positive and welcoming attitude

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

•Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines 

•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 

•Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing situations 

•Enthusiasm and positive attitude
